Happy Fall Break

Here’s hoping you’re all enjoying the fall break. For this week, visiting reference at Harned is cancelled, but I’ll be back next week:

  • Tuesday: 4pm-5pm
  • Wednesday: 12pm-1pm

Browsable DVDs

If you’ve missed being able to physically browse the DVDs, you’re back in luck.

For several months, DVDs have been kept behind the circulation desk, and the DVD itself will remain there. However, we’ve now moved the cases back out to the DVD stacks so you can browse the collection. Once you’ve settled on a film, you’ll simply pick up the DVD as you checkout.

Wondering where the DVDs went?

DVDs are moving behind the circulation desk.

To browse DVDs virtually, visit the Library Media Collection and click on the link for “All Languages”, or the link to limit by the language of your choice.

To search DVDs, follow those two steps. Then click on the “Modify Search” button, and replace the asterisk in the search box with  your keywords.

Once you’ve found the DVD you’d like to check out, just ask the staff person at the circulation desk.

Library help at midterms

Just in time for midterms, the science librarian will be toting a laptop and testing out visiting reference services in Thompson from 12:30-1:30pm Mondays and Thursdays during 2009’s spring semester. Service will start March 9.

Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to stop by with any questions or comments about the library and its resources!
